Sonshine Ministries was founded in 1979.
Since then "thousands" have walked through the doors
 Sonshine Ministries is a family structured environment geared to serve men in life crisis situations such as homelessness, addiction, parole placement, abuse and the emotionally displaced. Through the teachings of the Bible they learn to adopt a new Christian lifestyle.
Up to 20 adults reside on a working farm in Loysvill, PA with Pastor Donna and her husband Bob. Here they receive counseling, sanctuary, protection and a loving atmosphere.
They have regular Bible studies and times of praise and worship. The men also learn fundamental carpentry, limited mechanics, and animal husbandry to maintain the 11 1/2 acre farm. They work on high school diplomas, as well as reach out to the community, such as putting up hay for local farmers, and painting for the elderly. Their 2 acre truck patch produces food for their table.
Sonshine is strictly a faith ministry supported only by contribution of individuals and churches. The major thrust is discipleship of the residents according to the Scripture.
Bob and Donna both overcame their addictions, their old habits and lifestyles through the power of Jesus Christ. They opened their doors to others. Need is the only requirement of those they serve in a five county area.
Bob , a Teen Challenge Graduate and Donna is a graduate of HACC, Living Word Training Center in Mt. Joy and has received her Masters and Doctorate Degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, GA.
